  • Actually, distillation of the potato (as you know was not native in Europe) didn't start way after than the pilgrim had settled in America, and then it started in Poland. By that time these "pilgrims" we're 2-3generation american :) Distillation on other kind of grain or grapes like whisky, and brandy. Possibly.
